How did you spend your Valentine’s Day?

Hope everyone had a happy Valentine’s Day! If you don’t have a valentine, try spending it with someone else that doesn’t either! We visited 2 local nursing homes. Swan Manor in Baytown, ADL assisted living in Highlands and a few homebound residents. It was such a wonderful time. They loved everything, but especially my friends granddaughter, and her baby goat! It’s funny because this is Elsa ‘s baby and we actually took Elsa a couple of years ago at Christmas time! Thank you to all who contributed to this to make it possible!!

This is something very near and dear to my heart. I started this because other Mary Kay beauty consultants also visited nursing homes and took gifts. We usually would do the Mary Kay mint bliss lotion. Over the years we started adding different things as well and taking an animal with us. I’ve always loved animals. But I’ve also had a special place in my heart for the seniors. My mother and children have usually went with me, but now that they’re growing up, it’s harder for them to get away from work or other engagements. But I really appreciate the people that spend time to donate (whether it is time, money and/or gifts) to help make all of this possible.

We went at Christmas time and took baked goods donated by my sweet friend, crossword puzzles , coloring books, word searches, gloves, socks, hats, the

Sweetest little journals and pens, candy, canes, and a Mary Kay Mint Bliss lotion! It just helped make Christmas a little more special. We also had some handmade Christmas cards.

We are planning on going Easter. If you would like to help contribute contact me and we will make arrangements. It is such a worthwhile experience. But I have to give the credit to God. I am so thankful that God put Mary Kay cosmetics in my life. And so thankful to Mary kay Ash (The founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics) for her giving spirit. Her beauty consultants and my Director, Denise Hernandez who inspired me to do this and continue through the years.

This has been most one of the worthwhile experiences I’ve ever had in my life. And I truly want to thank my mom for always being a part! She is such a hard-working woman and truly has a giving spirit. ❤️.
